Interesting Article on Rise in Teen Suicides

Working with at-risk kids and specifically those in the foster care system as PSVP does, makes findings like the one in today’s P-G frightening but important.  The article states:

“Suicides among youths 10 to 19 are rising faster than predicted, creating a potential public health crisis.”

Last month some of our partners met with the leaders of the Tokyo SVP and learned that teenage suicide is a big problem in Japan and one their SVP is focusing in on. Maybe Pittsburgh Social Venture Partners and Tokyo Social Venture Partners can begin working together.
