Terry Beggy, our E.D. is the best person for you to connect with regarding the poverty simulation, Her email is terry@psvp.org, but as I understand it there is no fee to participate in a poverty simulation experience. We (PSVP) look for partner organizations interested in co-hosting a poverty simulation program for their members (and others).
Hello, I am presently on the board of directors for Prime Stage Theatre and we are in the process of developing a stratetic plan. Prime Stage introduces young adults to the experience of live theatre through productions of current and classic literature. I read with interest PSVP’s involvement with nonprofits and their boards, especially in the area of at risk teens. Prime Stage’s mission is to “bring literature to life” for youth and families. We have been in existence for more than ten years and have served thousands of young people and their educators through our student matinees and teacher workshops, Adopt-a-School program, teen mentoring program as well as our Teen Board. The organization’s website can provide you with a comprehensive look at the mission and programs. I think you will find the mission a worthy one and it would be wonderful if we could have a conversation about how a relationship between Prime Stage and PSVP could benefit the youth of our area. Thanks for consideration.
