Education Session: Women & Girls Foundation and the Girls as Grantmakers

You’ve seen them on the Today Show with Katie Couric, and in newspapers across the country. Parents, Bring your teenagers for a discussion with The Women and Girls Foundation and Girls as Grantmakers. Hear more about this up and coming community based foundation and their mission to achieve equity for women and girls in our region. Executive Director Heather Arnet and a few of the young girls who are active in their grantmaking process will be on hand to talk about their programs, and of course, their recent “girlcott” of Abercrombie & Fitch. This is an excellent education opportunity for both teens and adults alike to learn from Pittsburgh’s youngest community leaders.
