What We Do
An Overview
PSVP launched its first grant cycle in the spring of 2001 with the goal of improving the well-being of our community by investing the time, expertise, creativity and money of its members (i.e. the Partners) to help nonprofit leaders who want to significantly improve the social impact produced by their organizations.
Knowing that nonprofits need more than money to achieve their goals, the Partners get actively involved with the organizations we provide grants to, providing on average 250 hours of volunteer technical assistance, mentoring and strategic advise to each on an annual basis.
We provide assistance in three key areas:
- Strengthening Organizational Leadership (eg. mentoring, Board development)
- Improving The Program Model (eg. measuring / improving outcomes, expansion and/or replication of the program)
- Building Organizational Capacity (by improving organizational efficiency, sustainability, and/or reach)
