Social Innovation Fast Pitch (March 1, 2012)

  • Any non-profit delivering significant social impact in creative ways within Allegheny County is encouraged to apply
  • 10 finalists will be selected
  • Finalists will be coached for pitch presentation
  • Finalists will “pitch” audience of hundreds
  • All present will vote
  • Cash grants totaling over $30,000 will be awarded that evening

Spring / Fall Pitch 

  • Partners define a specific program focus area
  • Non-profit organizations working in the focus area apply for PSVP support (up to 18 months technical assistance)
  • PSVP Selection Committee narrows the applicants to two finalists
  • Finalists are coached  on messaging their program objectives into a Pitch
  • Finalists pitch, votes are cast by attendees and the nonprofit investee that PSVP will work with is selected
  • A total of $15,000 is also awarded

“Get Smart” Sessions 

  • PSVP develops a series of opportunities for partners to go deeper in their understanding of key issues affecting our community, with the goal of partners becoming increasingly engaged in critical issues.
